Bris Avrohom of Old Bridge serves the community with a wide range of educational programming for youth of all ages. Our Chaya Esther Hebrew School, for children ages six to bar/bat Mitzvah, welcomes families of all backgrounds and affiliations. Tuition is affordable and synagogue membership is not required. Bar Mitzvah classes are geared to each boy’s level of experience and education. The Bat Mitzvah club, for girls aged 11-13, explores a woman’s role in Judaism and commences the year with a celebratory party. Our Teen Club meets frequently for hands-on activities and fun outings.

Bringing the personal into Jewish community life, the Highland Park Minyan features participatory havurah-style egalitarian Sabbath and holiday celebrations, conducted by members for members. HPM meets at 10:00am on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Shabbat each month for traditional services, lively discussion, singing, and kosher pot-luck dairy lunch.

HPM encourages both men and women to participate fully in all ritual activities. We are innovative, yet strongly rooted in Jewish tradition and welcome all Jews and all those who are interested in Judaism. We encourage singles, young couples and seniors to become full, active members.

HPM sponsors High Holiday Services, annual retreats, and assorted simchas, uses Siddur Eit Ratzon for our services that was developed by one of our members, is affiliated with the National Havurah Committee.

Tefillot are held in private homes. In winter, Shabbat morning of Shabbat Rosh Hodesh or Shabbat Mevarchim. From April to August, Shabbat mincha of same. Occasionally, we meet on a different weekend to accommodate a simcha. We meet monthly, more or less.
