Dedicated to the preservation of Jewish history of Central New Jersey, the JHSCJ was organized on Nov. 7, 1977, and now serves Middlesex, Union, Somerset, Warren, and Hunterdon counties. JHSCJ is an affiliate of the American Jewish Historical Society which promotes, researches, and publishes all facets of Central New Jersey’s Jewish experience. JHSCJ maintains an archival collection which is open to researchers, and promotes educational programs and exhibits for both the Jewish and general communities. Official meetings are held twice annually. JHSCJ is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.
