Adath Shalom Religious School provides a vibrant, active environment and a solid foundation of Jewish learning. Family participation is encouraged both in school and at home, and hands-on education workshops are offered during the school year.

Classes meet once or twice a week depending on grade. Kindergarten (gan), first (aleph), and second (bet) grades meet on Sunday only; third (gimel) through seventh (zayin) grades meet on Sunday and Thursday; our Journey class, our special education program for students with IEPs in fourth through seventh grades meets on Sunday for an extended day.

Rabbi Biller and Charlotte Frank offer a program called Learning in a Social Setting for our congregational children in grades eight through 10. This informal learning encourages a continued connection to our synagogue and life-long Jewish learning.

Our youth groups include Club 4/5 programs for grades four and five. Kadima for grades six, seven, and eight, as well as USY for grades nine, 10, 11, and 12. Our youth groups are part of the USCJ network for Conservative synagogues.

Center for Jewish Life serves the community with a wide range of educational programming for youth of all ages.

• Chaya Esther Hebrew School for children ages 5-12, was established with one goal in mind; to offer children an education and memories that will inspire them for a lifetime. To instil Jewish pride, a feeling of caring and sharing for others, a strong command of the Hebrew language, and a genuine and meaningful understanding of Judaism.

• Bar Mitzvah lessons, classes and celebrations are very special times in family life. Here your son can attend Bar Mitzvah preparation classes geared to his level. Consultations are available to help you plan and prepare your party.

• Bat Mitzvah Club is geared for girls ages 11-13. Lessons include the mitzvahs pertaining to Jewish girls, Jewish women prophetesses and meaning of a bat mitzvah. The program concludes with a graduation ceremony and party.

• The JTeen club gives you the time of your life while making this world a better place and giving back to your community. It is the perfect opportunity to have fun with friends and have a dynamic Jewish experience.
