JCC STALWART Herman Forman of Kenilworth, who died this fall, was remembered in the kind of upbeat style he loved, with Broadway tunes and Borscht Belt comedy at a show in his honor on Dec. 5 at the Jewish Community Center of Central New Jersey in Scotch Plains.

Warren Schein, accompanied by two musicians, performed at the event hosted by the JCC’s Senior Adult Services Department, and sponsored by donations made in Forman’s memory. His widow, Helen, and their son, Jerry, and daughter-in-law, Diane, were there, together with nearly 50 friends and fellow JCC seniors.

The department’s roster of holiday programs ends on Wednesday, Dec. 19, with a luncheon party featuring pianist and singer Joan Streit. Advance registration by Dec. 14 is requested. The cost is $5, $3 for JCC members.
