HUGHES-VEGTER

Randal Alan Vegter, son of Marlene and Barry Vegter of Florham Park, was married May 25, 2012, to Ginny Cooper Hughes, daughter of Carolyn Hughes of Marshall, Mich., and the late Lawrence Hughes.

The wedding was held at Battery Gardens in New York City.

Mr. Vegter, a graduate of Newark Academy in Livingston, earned both his bachelor of arts degree and master of arts degree in educational psychology from Columbia University. He is a leadership facilitator at JetBlue Airlines in New York.

Ms. Hughes earned a bachelor’s of science degree in neuroscience from Brown University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She earned a master’s of science degree in science writing from Johns Hopkins University and is a freelance science writer in Brooklyn.

After a honeymoon cruise through the Galapagos Islands, the couple resides in Brooklyn.
