Madelyn Greenwald

Madelyn Jane Greenwald (Hollander) of Marietta, Ga., died July 8, 2012. Born in Newark, she also had resided in Carteret, Westfield, and Springfield.

Mrs. Greenwald was a life member of B’nai B’rith Women of Springfield and Jewish Women International. She was a past executive board member of Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael, Springfield, and a member of the Women’s League and was a member of Springfield Hadassah. She volunteered at Overlook Hospital, Summit, and at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, for more than 20 years, receiving many accolades for her service.

Predeceased by her husband, Marvin, she is survived by two sons, Daniel and Robert of Marietta; a brother, Irwin Hollander of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and two granddaughters.

Services were held July 11 with arrangements by Dressler’s Jewish Funeral Care, Atlanta. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Medical Center, 94 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039; or Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael, 60 Temple Dr., Springfield, NJ 07081.
