Leonard Bearison
Leonard Bearison of Mountainside died June 19, 2012. Born and raised in Newark, he resided in Mountainside for the past 49 years and also spent 35 summers in Harvey Cedars, Long Beach Island.
Mr. Bearison began his career as an electrical engineer at Western Electric and retired from AT&T 38 years later as vice president for intellectual property.
He was active in the community as a member of the Masonic Lodge 22 in Cranford and the Jewish War Veterans. He supported other worthy organizations.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol Sulzman Bearison; three sons, Fred of Florida, Michael of Springfield, and Daniel of Mountainside; a brother, David of New York; and five grandchildren.
Services were held June 21 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
