Joseph Shapiro
Joseph S. Shapiro, 91, of Verona died July 20, 2012. He lived in Verona for almost 30 years.
Retired since 1994, Mr. Shapiro and his late brother Ira were co-owners of Panache, an upscale ladies boutique in Millburn. He and his brother began their careers working in their family’s boutique, Martin Shapiro, Inc. in Perth Amboy.
He was a longtime member of Temple Sholom of West Essex, Cedar Grove.
He is survived by his partner, Charles R. Smith, and several cousins.
Services were held July 23 with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Maplewood.
