Joan Miller
Joan Stein Miller, 86, of Livingston died May 9, 2012. She lived in Livingston since 1953.
Mrs. Miller taught at Morton Street School and then at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School in Livingston.
She graduated from Newark State Teachers College.
She was a volunteer for over 20 years at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. She was a member of NJEA.
Predeceased by her husband, Irwin, in 2006, she is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Simpson; her son, Lee; a sister, Lucille Herr of Florence, Ore.; three grandchildren; and her caregiver of two years, Rebecca McCormick.
Services were held May 13 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
