Jacqueline Aronson

Jacqueline K. Aronson, 84, of Middletown died May 27, 2012. Born in Omaha, Neb., she lived in New York City for 17 years before moving to Middletown in 1969.

Mrs. Aronson was a graduate of Wells College in Aurora, NY.

Active in local affairs, she was involved with the Task Force For Better Schools in Middletown, the Association For Improving Middletown, The Shade Tree Commission, MCOSS (now VNA-CNJ), and CPC Behavioral Health. She also assisted in initiating the recycling center in Middletown, one of the first such centers in the area.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Howard; her son, Michael of Seminole, Fla.; her daughter, Ann of Aberdeen; and a sister, Sandra Tenenbaum of Denver.

Services were held May 31 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean. Memorial contributions may be made to CPC Behavioral Health, Monmouth Conservation Foundation, Two River Theater Company, or Monmouth County SPCA.
