Howard Singer

Howard Franklin Singer, 76, of Lakewood died Jan. 22, 2012. Born in the Bronx, he moved to Lakewood as a teenager.

Mr. Singer owned and operated Eastern Institutional Supply Company in Toms River, working alongside his wife and son, Brad.

He graduated from Lakewood High School.

A member of Congregation B’nai Israel, Toms River, he was a former member of Congregation Ahavat Shalom, Lakewood.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Anise; his son, Brad of Toms River; his daughter, Esta of Ocean Grove; a sister, Andrea of St. Louis; and four grandchildren.

Services were held Jan. 24 with arrangements by Belkoff-Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation B’nai Israel’s Education Endowment Fund; Seeds of Peace, 370 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10017; or Thyroid Hope at University of Pennsylvania, 3535 Market St., Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
