Howard S. Weiss

Howard S. Weiss, 54, of Maplewood died Jan. 1, 2012. He grew up in West Orange.

Mr. Weiss began his career at D & J Sales Corp. He moved on to be a founder of Advantage Supply Corp., and was currently working for E&F Millwork in Maplewood as a project manager.

He graduated from Mountain High School, West Orange, in 1975, attended Upsala College in East Orange, and graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in political science.

He supported children’s cancer charities such as the Valerie Fund and Hope and Heroes Children’s Cancer Foundation.

He is survived by two sons, Matthew and Cory; his longtime companion, Eileen Stark; his former wife, Susan Weiss; his father, Daniel Weiss; two sisters, Barbara Weiss and Margie Heller; and three stepchildren, Marianne, James, and Will Stark.

Services were held Jan. 3 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
