Seniors, computers

Re “Computers and seniors do go together,”

Regarding the article “Computers and seniors do go together” (March 4), your readers will be interested to know that for many years, Boys Town Jerusalem has invited older citizens of Jerusalem to its campus, where its students share their computer savvy with their elders.

The experience has been mutually rewarding. Seniors are now able to put their newly acquired computer skills to use and the students cherish the bonding experience with a generation that has so much to offer them.

Additionally, Yad Sarah, a volunteer organization which provides free medical equipment and services to those in need, sends some of its senior citizen volunteers to Boys Town so its students can teach them computer skills. This enables the seniors to be even more helpful in their volunteer efforts.
