Re “After a ‘difficult time,’ a minyan takes root,” June 20

We wanted to make a point of clarification to your article “After a difficult time, a minyan takes root.”

While there were some who were interested in forming a lay-led minyan at Congregation Beth El in South Orange, we had always thought it would be an integral part of Beth El, rather than a separate entity. Neither we nor our chevra of friends had ever dreamed of leaving Beth El until the events that transpired regarding Cantor Perry Fine.
